Spilling engagement secrets; shhh!

I am about to spill one of my secrets…..are you ready?…. I gift an engagement session to every couple who book a wedding with me. Yes every couple (there is rare occasions when it was a last minute or out of state wedding booking)! Why? Well a couple reasons, the first reason is because the engagement time is soooo important to capture! It is such an exciting time in your life, and such a short time also! you are “single” for a long time then married for a long time, and only engaged for a short period. The second reason is the excitement you are both sharing at this time! Its new, its fresh, and its a journey of its own! The love that you are sharing at this time needs to be captured for your yourself and future generations to come! The third and my personal selfish reason I gift the engagement session with my wedding packages is because I want to get to know you! And I want you to get to know me! I am going to be with you on one of the most memorable days of your life and the whole day! You should like me! haha I think it is soo so sooooo important to be comfortable with your photographer and I want all my couples to feel at ease on their day! Fourth and final (I could probably think of more though) I gift it because the wedding day is pretty fast paced and time is important. Knowing how I work, feeling comfortable with me and knowing the “poses” before hand make things much smoother for everyone! I strive for stress free, and thats only done if I prepare before the wedding day which includes engagement session in my preparation! Especially if we run behind schedule or are in a time crunch! All in all I definitely just want my couples to see my crazy/silliness before the actual wedding day 😉 The engagement session is fun, its not rushed, its great couples therapy and it helps me get to know you better! Ok now you know one of my secrets… don’t tell anyone!
