Hannah & Jason- Lincoln memorial garden (maternity)

There is such magic about maternity sessions. I still think its so crazy, and amazing that we grow humans! Anyone with me?! (no? ok! lol). I have been looking forward to this session since Hannah contacted me months ago to capture this special time in her and Jasons life. One because even through email I could tell Hannah was just the sweetest person, and I was right, she was even sweeter in person! I was also excited because they brought their fur baby Porter along for some of the photos! When I say he was the most well behaved dog I have ever met, I mean it! (back story, and I’m kind of embarrassed to tell it..because I wasn’t thinking lol) We seen a deer when we first got out of the car at Lincoln memorial gardens, across the street. It was awesome, we admired it a second. So then about 2 minutes later, I decide “let’s take the pictures across the street.”  not thinking…where the deer just was (probably still is) with the dog….It wasn’t till we were over there that it hit me… that wasn’t the smartest plan Brittany… I am thinking this dog is going to go crazy, he is for sure going to run after this deer, I am regretting my choice at this point… Porter did none of that. He sat, he stayed, he listened! He did what ever he was told, and he was happy to do it! They even took the leash off of him and he just obeyed perfectly! I am excited to get to work with him again, when the newest one is here in just a couple months! After the family photos with Porter, he went back in the truck and we wondered into the garden! It didn’t take long about 20 steps in, before I found great lighting to stop and take a couple of photos! Working with Hannah and Jason was so easy! They were so fun and loving toward each other it made the photos come to life! They were up for anything, I got to try a couple of new composure’s with them, we even got in the water, did I mention it was cold out?! Hannah didn’t care, she took her shoes off and stepped in, she’s amazing! We also timed this session just right because we were able to get that perfect glow, the whole session! Jason and Hannah rocked their session (along with Porter)! Just being around them for a little over an hour, I could feel their joyful energy! Thanks you two for having me capture such a magical time in your journey! I will be over here eagerly awaiting the arrival of your baby boy!!
