Show it United; Tempe Arizona

Well ladies and gentlemen it has only taken me over a year to write about my amazing trip! I guess I just wanted to give it some time, so I could relive it again! I attended the 2018 Show It United Conference in Arizona. It was a “yolo” moment trip! It was a sold out conference, yet I just felt a pull to go. I seen someone selling their ticket and decided that was my sign! I found myself a roommate (and a forever, amazing friend) and booked my flight! I knew I was going to have fun but was not expecting it to inspire my soul so much. It wasn’t just about photography and business, it was about connection, purpose, being enough, and staying true to yourself. Speakers like Jasmine Star reminded us that we are enough, that not everyone may like you and THAT is just FINE! Amy and Jordan Demos, who have already changed my life, talked about money and that to get where you want to be means giving up all that fast food sometimes, or those unnecessary shoes! They gifted us ALL with a Dave Ramsey book! How awesome! The first speaker Katelyn James had everyone in tears while she was telling her story of the birth and passing of her beautiful baby James. Katelyn has helped me learn to open up so much and taught me that being “perfect” is being yourself! Their were so many more inspirational speakers that just renewed and empowered my soul! We had yoga in the morning, which I fell in love with, and try to practice it daily now! We had a Gala, which is like a prom for adults! Who wouldn’t want to get all dolled up, and have a night out?! We were picked up in limos, wore gorgeous gowns, and the best part of the gala…they had lamas with unicorn horns on….I could have died, they were so cute! This experience is one that will have forever touched my heart and CHANGED my life. A four day conference that literally helped me grow more than I could have ever expected! It brought a light out in me, and opened up so many feelings! I had a different outlook on everything and it was great! I think it is important for everyone to go to a conference, alone, every so often. For anything, Photography, self love, yoga, just some kind of retreat! Why I say alone is because you don’t have another person there to keep you in your comfort zone…. you are “forced” to do it on your own and it helps you grow! Needless to say I am excited to find the next conference that is meant for me! Thank you Show It United 2018 for being such a light for me! You have brought so many great people into my life! I am forever grateful!
