Duncan Mansion engagement

When the goal is “Charleston” yet we live in Illinois, we get creative. Thankfully Jacksonville has great places like the Duncan Mansion and gorgeous historical homes! We were able to get a little feel of those soft colors that Charleston has in good old Illinois. After the Duncan Mansion in Jacksonville, we headed to Washington park in Springfield. To top off our evening we ran over to the Lincoln museum for some fun shots before the sun was completely down and I’m so happy we did!

I used to call these two adorable humans to model for me years and years ago when I had an idea I wanted to try. Now I get to capture their engagement, family and next year their wedding! It has been so exciting watching them grow together, trusting each other and learning from each other. I have always known Destinee from growing up in Chandlerville but the long and deep conversations we have after each session has made our connection even more meaningful. Theses two do not let anything hold them back! They take each hard moment and use it to climb higher up the mountain. A power couple for sure! Their beautiful girl stayed home for this session but of course she just adds even more joy to their story! Their amazing wedding next year is going to be absolutely perfect! Every time we chat about it I get more and more excited! Till then, enjoy your engagement and all the wedding planning!! I love you two so very much!
