Midwest Engagement

When Brock asked me to capture their proposal, I was eagerly hoping they would ask me to be their wedding photographer. It was the fastest yes I ever sent over! I have had the pleasure of working with Brock & Mattie years before this Midwest engagement session! Watching them grow has given my heart so much happiness! It is so easy feel the connection that Mattie & Brock have. The silly looks that they give each other, the way they tease and play! They have such good balance and that’s hard to find! Brock was blessed to enter into a relationship with not only Mattie but also with Elsa Mattie’s daughter. They now have their newest little one, Violet who is the most perfect addition to their family!

This was the first time photographing just Mattie and Brock. Usually we have the little ones with us but this evening they decided to take a couple of hours for themselves! We visited some geese by the river. I learned geese are a little scary but I think Brock was up for the challenge of scaring them off. He may have had a little much fun with them or we had to much fun watching him with them! Either way it was great!

We went out to one of my favorite sand spots for this Midwest engagement session. It was hot out but these two made taking pictures easy! They are just beautiful humans in general and then the fun they have together just tops it off! I still can’t believe hanging out with incredible friends is work! I feel so blessed to be their wedding photographer! 2022 is going to be a great year! Thank you Mattie & brock for being so awesome. You two have so much love for each other and I love getting to watch it grow!
