Well my first plan was to go zip lining but then I realized it was closed… Second idea, the beach! He thought I was kidding, I wasn’t! After a couple of days of “Are you serious about the beach?” and a quick text to one of his best friends, we booked the flights for the weekend!
We were only there for a couple of days but we didn’t waste a second enjoying it. We woke up at 4:45am (3:45am in Illinois) to hit the beach for the sunrise. It was the only time I have gotten up to the first alarm, probably ever! It was cloudy, so we only got a peak. It was still well well worth it! I even let Braxton talk me into going into the ocean…that is where we ran into a shark that was about 10 feet away from us while… needless to say I didn’t go back in!
Nick and Nichole took us to THE coolest beach ever, bone yard beach. It was gorgeous, spooky and perfect! Of course I was beyond excited for the perfect overcast sky and the light colored everything :). Nichole was a quick learner when I handed the camera over and all three of them put up with my picture excitement! They are the best! We finished the afternoon with kayaking, a hermit crab fight, and looking at outrageous, breath taking beach homes.
It was such a fun little get away! I am already dreaming of going back! We can’t thank Nichole and Nick enough for being so great to us! From great food, fun and conversation they were beyond awesome!
Goodbye till next time Florida!
Here are some fun phone photos!
